How We Do It
- To empower the gluten-free community of Singapore through consumer support, advocacy, and education.
- To bring together all gluten-free resources useful for living in Singapore.
- Support and increase gluten-free awareness and diagnosis within the medical community and local population.
- Support and improve gluten-free food service in restaurants and schools.
- Create and connect a network of gluten-free people in Singapore and southeast Asia.
- Educate Singapore residents about celiac disease and gluten-related disorders and provide support and education to the local population post diagnosis.
Gluten Free Singapore Leadership Team
Karen Horan, Director
Karen is the founder of the Gluten Free Singapore. As the mother of a celiac child she has over twelve years of gluten-free experience in both the United States and Singapore.
Dr Schwender is a Singapore based American gastroenterologist in practice with Tucker Medical. He volunteers his time as a medical advisor for the Singapore Celiac Support Group and Gluten Free Singapore.
Bridget is a UK Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist. Bridget has a special interest and extensive experience in the nutritional treatment of gastrointestinal conditions including irritable bowel syndrome / functional bowel disorders; coeliac disease and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
